- Each product is judged only against its own history, never against the retailer’s “was” price.
- Good price means it is at or below its usual sale price, or cheaper than it has been at least 80% of the time. Bad price means you would be paying the regular price for something that regularly goes on sale, so the next sale is worth waiting for.
- Prices are weighted by how long they held, so a price that stood for weeks counts for more than one that lasted an afternoon. The full rules.
